Amelie Rothschild, a teacher in New York city during the 1930's and '40s, moved to Scarsdale in 1944. She served on the Board of Education from 1949-1955 and remained involved in the community. She passed away March 3, 2010 at the age of 104.<br /> <br /> Recorded on November 30, 2009, Supt. Dr. Michael McGill interviewed Amelie about her days on the school board as part of the district's Scarsdale 225 anniversary celebration of Scarsdale public schools.
